The 247 m long flyover is the highest bridge structure in Wielkopolska

On Wednesday, 16 December 2009, several minutes after 12:00, the Wyrzysk Ring Road became available for traffic. Within the 7.8 km long section built by the POL-DRÓG Capital Group there are 6 bridge structures. Two of these structures are located in the route of the ring road (flyover and overpass), and the other four structures are bridges over the ring road in the route of crossroads.

The passage through Łobżonka was designed so as to fit the route into the landscape in the best possible manner. The 247 m long flyover is the highest bridge structure in Wielkopolska.
The Wyrzysk Ring Road will move heavy transit traffic away from built-up areas, will improve traffic within the city limits and will have a favourable impact on natural environment conditions. This large project was carried out by a consortium of companies with solely Polish capital. The investor is the Poznań branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
Construction works were commenced on 25 June 2008. The cost of construction works totalled almost 170 million PLN.
