The contract amounts to nearly PLN 12 million.

The reconstruction of the square located at the end of Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street will last two years and result in significant changes to the area. The Sopot town council wants this location to acquire new aesthetic qualities and better match the nearby Haffner Center.

During the first stage of reconstruction work which is scheduled to be completed this autumn, the underground infrastructure between the tunnel and the entrance to the pier will be replaced. Once this work has been done, the reconstruction of the square between the tunnel and the Laura department store will commerce.

- The square will be refurbished with a new granite surface, new architectural elements, new lighting and green areas – says Andrzej Chrzanowski, Director of Sopot’s Roads and Green Areas Management Department.
