About the Capital Group
POL-DRÓG Capital Group is a company organised and managed on the sole basis of Polish capital, and providing comprehensive and integrated services in the road construction and bridge construction sector.
The POL-DRÓG Capital Group companies supply numerous products and services. They offer a full range of construction, engineering and design services and are involved in the production of mineral and bituminous mixtures. They also conduct mining operations in the area of aggregate exploitation, providing aggregate for the Group's own companies and external end users. The Group also carries out research and development with the field of new technology implementation.
As of May 17, 2011, the Capital Group encompasses fourteen direct subsidiaries in addition to the POL-DRÓG Capital Group, which is the dominant entity, as well as thirteen regional divisions. These act as monitoring and supervision units for the investments relevant to the companies comprising the group.
In 2009, the Group’s manufacturing plants produced almost 1,000,000 tons of various types of bituminous mixtures. The technical potential of the Capital Group's manufacturing plants allows for over 3,000 tons of mixtures to be produced per hour.
Employment in the POL-DRÓG Capital Group was running at a level of 2,000 people at the end of the first half of 2010.
