The History of the Group

Our group-wide experience in the road construction industry stretches back to 1947 and 1950, when the first of the companies which now form  POL-DRÓG Capital Group were established.

The 20^th century saw the construction of the Polish road infrastructure, in which our companies played a vital role.

The POL-DRÓG Capital Group brand was born in 1997.

Under the restructuring of Wałeckie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych, the company’s property was privatised.

In line with the strategy then adopted, the new shareholders launched a policy of radical change.

The purchase of majority stakes in companies with uncommonly extensive, sometimes decades-long, experience in the road construction sector enabled the Company to provide the highest possible level of services covering orders ranging from the modest projects on a local scale, to strikingly impressive, large-scale undertakings. By the same token, the necessity of unifying the companies became an imperative, not only in terms of legal issues and the matter of image, but also with respect to management standards.

In 2004, the process of unifying the Group's companies was launched.

At the same time, Quality Management and Information Management Systems were implemented on a Group-wide basis, as was an internal risk management system.

The integration of numerous elements within the system allowed for the optimisation of processes which occur across the Group, contributing to the fact that, since 2008, POL-DRÓG Capital Group has been one of the largest and most widely-recognised brands in Poland's road construction sector.
